Summer 2017: let’s do ALL the things!

    2017-08-28 /

Oh… hey, remember me? …that one girl who used to update this blog occasionally. Yeah, about that… I forgot. Actually, I’ve just been so busy livin’ this summer that it slipped my mind. Alas, for this lady summer is winding down as I start the first semester of my accounting studies at Cincinnati State today. (Side note: holla at yo girl who got a scholarship to finish her accounting hours in order…

February 2017: black-tie, brews, and ballroom dancing

    2017-02-19 /

February has been even more exciting than January was! We kicked off the month on February 4th with the Hearts for Hope Gala at the Duke Energy Convention Center, supporting Boys Hope Girls Hope Cincinnati. BHGH is a wonderful organization that, in their words, “provides educational opportunities and stability to motivated, underserved youth through residential and community-based programs.” I am proud to be involved with BHGH and work with their amazing Scholars, and proud that my company also supports the cause, affording more opportunities for the organization. The event was capped off by local band Soul Pocket playing for the crowd after dinner and ceremonies. We finished off our night by stopping by Queen City…

Years and years and years ago, in another life, @e Years and years and years ago, in another life, @erica_mtl messaged me one day and asked, “Is Colin Jost our new boyfriend?” And the answer was obviously yes. And then years later, someone (probably @erica_mtl) pointed out that my Cute New Boyfriend looked a bit like Colin Jost. And then, recently, someone randomly asked @donthetwo if anyone has ever told him he looked like Colin Jost, and I immediately keeled over laughing. This is a lot of words to say that @colinjost is my side boyfriend and I’m glad he wrote a book about pooping his pants.

Sounds like a good excuse to go to @fiftywestbrew.” Tried the chicken sandwich, California style, to mix it up (usually I’m a single, classic, no onions kind of gal). I just really love @fiftywestbrew and the little compound they’ve invested in, and I’m even more happy that it’s just 15 minutes from me.
